Urgent notice. 2. Despite having adjourned the case for the instructions of the Government Pleader, instructions are not forthcoming even today. Since the election is scheduled to take place on 19th of this month and in view of the prima facie case made out in the pleadings, I direct that, provisionally the 1st respondent shall accept the nomination of the petitioner and permit him to contest the election. It is also ordered that the votes polled in his favour need not be counted nor the result declared without obtaining orders from this Court.
At this stage, the Government Pleader requested that the case may be posted on 18.05.2007 enabling him to seek modification if necessary. The request of the Government Pleader appears to be reasonable and accordingly this case will come up on 18.05.2007.
