This writ petition is filed challenging Exhibit P1 stop memo issued by the respondent. According to the petitioner, he is conducting his trade as a carpenter. He makes doors and windows which are supplied to various customers. He has been functioning for the past nine years. The present direction to close down his establishment causes a lot of hardships and difficulties to him. Therefore, he seeks the issue of appropriate directions quashing Exhibit P1. 2. I notice that the petitioner has a statutory remedy of appeal against Exhibit P1. It is for the petitioner to challenge Exhibit P1, invoking the statutory remedy available to him. In view of the equally efficacious statutory remedy available to the petitioner, this writ petition is not maintainable.

In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed. However, in order to facilitate the petitioner to invoke the statutory remedy available to him, it is ordered that, the operation and implementation of Exhibit P1 shall remain stayed for a period of two weeks.
