The petitioners claim themselves to be in a relationship with each other which is not acceptable to the fourth respondent as the petitioners are of different religions.
The prayer in this petition is to command the State-respondents to ensure that the petitioners are not harassed.
There is nothing in the petition to indicate that any untoward incident occurred which may give rise to a reasonable apprehension with regard to the safety and liberty of the petitioners. Moreover, as of now, there appears no FIR at the instance of the petitioners against the fourth respondent.
Under these circumstances, we do not deem it appropriate to issue any specific direction, as prayed for, but leave it open to the petitioners to represent their cause to the police authorities as and when the occasion arises.
Subject to above, the petition is dismissed.
