Noor Islam @ Nurul Islam vs The State Of U.P.

As per allegations in the F.I.R., twenty currency notes of 1000/- denomination and fifty currency notes of 500/- denomination, which were counterfeit, have been recovered from the possession of the applicant. Learned counsel for the applicant contends that offence under Sections 489A and 489B, I.P.C. is not established. Only possession of the counterfeit currency notes has been shown. Applicant is in custody since 18.8.2010.

Learned State counsel prays for time to file a counter affidavit.
