JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition is filed challenging the revenue recovery proceedings initiated as per Ext.P1. The amount claimed is based on a penalty order passed by the sales tax authorities. According to the petitioner, he is not served with any such order.
2. The learned Government Pleader, on instructions, would submit that an order has been passed on 13/03/2014 and the same has been served on the petitioner by registered post with acknowledgement due on 29/03/2014.
3. In the said circumstances, I do not think that the contention urged by the petitioner is correct. The petitioner is entitled to take appropriate proceedings in accordance with law. However, taking into consideration the request made by the petitioner by way of Ext.P3, the same shall be considered and appropriate orders shall be passed by the 2nd respondent. The petitioner is granted 15 days time to take appropriate proceedings in accordance with law. Until such time, revenue recovery proceedings pursuant to Ext.P1 shall be kept in abeyance.
This writ petition is disposed of as above.
