JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner complains of the delay in considering and disposing of Exts.P2 and P8 representations by the respondent. The petitioner had applied for the issue of a license for conducting a stone quarry from the Erumayoor Grama Panchayat. According to the petitioner, no orders were passed on the application for license within the stipulated period of 30 days. Therefore, the petitioner is entitled to the benefit of a deemed license. The Deputy Director of Panchayats had issued a direction to issue the license, that has not been obeyed by the Panchayat. Therefore, the petitioner has submitted Exts.P2 and P8 representations to the respondent. He seeks the issue of appropriate directions for the consideration thereof. The learned Government Pleader appears for the respondent. In view of the limited relief sought for, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent to consider the grievance of W.P.(C).No.29104 of 2014 2 the petitioner set out in Exts.P2 and P8 in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, and at any rate within a period of two months of the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
