JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioners are persons who claim to have been conducting business selling meat in the Venjaramoodu Public Market. According to them, they have been selling meat for the past 30 years. Though they have submitted applications to the 2nd respondent for licence, no orders have been passed thereon till date. The petitioners therefore seek the issue of appropriate directions for the consideration of their applications. Exts.P1 to P3 are their applications.
2. In view of the limited relief sought for, I do not consider it necessary to issue notice to the respondents. It shall be sufficient that this writ petition is disposed of directing Exts.P1 to P3 to be considered.
This writ petition is, therefore, disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider Exts.P1 to P3 applications in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of one month of the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
