Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The husband of the petitioner retired on attaining the age of superannuation from the post of Revenue Inspector on 10.12.2019. By the instant writ petition, petitioner seeks the following relief:
"i. To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner in accordance with government order dated 24.7.2018 and provide the petitioner pay scale of Rs. 8000-13500 after completion of 24 years of service of the husband of the petitioner from 12.11.2000 up to the date of his death i.e. 26.10.2008 and arrears thereof and further his pension may be revised accordingly.
ii. To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondents to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 10.12.2019."
It is urged that the proposal of the petitioner has been forwarded by the office of Sub Divisional Magistrate, Badlapur, Jaunpur, which is pending consideration before the third respondent, District Magistrate, District Jaunpur.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that the third respondent shall consider and decide the claim of the petitioner expeditiously.
In regard thereto, without entering into the merit of the case, as well as, rival contentions raised by the respective parties, it is provided that the third respondent, District Magistrate, District Jaunpur, shall consider and decide the claim/representation of the petitioner, by a reasoned and speaking order, expeditiously, preferably, within three months from the date of filing of certified copy of this order along with the copy of the writ petition.
With the aforementioned observations/directions, the writ petition stands disposed of.
