The petitioners are students of 4th semester M.Tech. course, who are interdicted from appearance in the said examination only for reason that they are not qualified in the earlier years. The petitioners have cleared the 1st semester examinations; but has not cleared the 2nd semester examination, for which the supplementary examination has not been fixed till date.
2. In the context of the delay which was occasioned on the part of the University in the conduct of the 2nd semester supplementary examinations, it is only proper that the petitioners be permitted to appear for the 4th semester examinations. It is directed so. The appearance shall be provisional and depend on the result of the 2nd semester supplementary examinations which is yet to be conducted. The results shall be withheld till then.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
