Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Birendra Pratap Singh learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents.
Both the petitioners claim to have been appointed as Beldars in the Zila Panchayat Bareilly. Although the petitioner No. 1 continues to work in the Zila Panchayat, the petitioner No. 2 is stated to have been attached to the office of the Commissioner Bareilly Division, the third respondent here. Their claim for regularisation has not been attended to till date.
In view of the aforesaid, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent states that subject to the petitioner No. 2 filing a detailed representation in support of his claim before the said respondent within a period of three weeks from today, the same shall be duly examined and disposed of in accordance with law. It was submitted that a final decision shall be endeavoured to be communicated within a period of three months therefrom.
Insofar as the petitioner No. 1 is concerned, the Court leaves it open to that petition to approach the fourth respondent who may examine his claim for regularisation in accordance with law and communicate a decision in respect thereof with expedition and preferably within a period of three months therefrom.
This petition shall stand disposed of in light of the statement noted and recorded above. All contentions of respective parties on merits are kept open.
