Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Piyush Shukla, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State respondents.
The instant writ petition has been preferred for the respondents being commanded to accord the petitioner compassionate appointment in place of her deceased husband who died while in service. From the record, presently, it is not clear whether the services of the husband of the petitioner were confirmed or not.
In view thereof, Sri Shukla, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel representing the third respondent, states that subject to verification of all facts and contentions on merits being kept open, the claim of the petitioner for being accorded compassionate appointment, shall be duly attended to and a final decision communicated to the petitioner by the said respondent with expedition and preferably within a period of four months from the date of presentation of a duly authenticated copy of this order alongwith a copy of the writ petition and its enclosures.
Accordingly and without going into the merits or otherwise of the claim of the petitioner, this petition shall stand disposed of in light of the statement, which is noted and recorded above.
