An order was passed by the Managing Director on 16.2.2016; pursuant to a direction issued by this Court in Writ Petition No. 67177 of 2014 on 11.12.2014, which records that petitioner has been paid a sum of Rs. 2,83,946/- towards leave encashment vide Cheque No. 283946 dated 11.6.2014.
Petitioner has annexed a photostat copy of the cheque, which bears same cheque number and date, but is for a sum of Rs. 98965/-. It is stated that this aspect has been highlighted before the Managing Director with a request to release the balance amount, but the claim of the petitioner has not been considered in that regard.
Sri Rama Kant Singh, learned counsel appearing for the respondents states that the Managing Director shall examine this aspect of the matter.
In view of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction upon the respondent no. 2 to accord consideration to the petitioner's claim, as noticed above, after examining the relevant records and a specific order would be passed, within a period of two months, from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order. In case the claim of the petitioner is accepted, necessary consequential action shall be taken without any further loss of time.
