JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has approached the Revenue Divisional Authority for assignment of puramboke land. The petitioner submits that the above property applied for assignment required for the beneficial enjoyment of the property. It is on account of non consideration of the petitioner’s application, the petitioner has approached this Court.
2. The learned Government Pleader submits that the Tahsildar is the competent authority to take appropriate decision. It is only based on the recommendation of the Taluk Land Assignment Committee and the local authority, decision will be taken by the Tahsildar. The Revenue Divisional Officer has already directed the Tahsildar to take a decision in the matter.
W.P.(C) No.30649 of 2014 2 In view of the above, based on Ext.P6 application and Ext.P7 report of the Village Officer, appropriate decision shall be taken by the second respondent after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
