Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned A.G.A. This writ petition has been filed praying for the following relief :-
A. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the impugned externment order dated 25.01.2021 passed by the respondent no.3 in case no.06700/2020 computerized case no.D202013540006700 against the petitioner under section 3(1) of U.P. Control of Goondas Act, 1970.
Perusal of the impugned order dated 25.01.2021 shows that the order of externment was passed for a period of six months. The aforesaid period has now expired. Thus, the writ petition has become infructuous.
That apart, it is stated that the petitioner has filed an appeal against the impugned order. Therefore, for that reason also the writ petition is not maintainable.
In view of the aforesaid, writ petition is dismissed. Order Date :- 27.7.2021/vkg
