Navghan vs State

High Court Of Gujarat|17 July, 2012

JUDGMENT / ORDER

(Per : HONOURABLE MR.JUSTICE RAVI R.TRIPATHI) The convict himself has filed the present application seeking extension of temporary bail granted by this Court on 31st May 2012 in Criminal Misc. Application No.7350 of 2012, wherein he could get himself released only on 3rd July 2012 as the convict was not having bail in another offence.
2. Taking into consideration the contents of the Jail remarks and taking into consideration the fact that when the convict was granted furlough in the year 2000, he had absconded for 3136 days, during which period he had committed another offence for which he is sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for life.
3. Besides, the ground put forth by the convict for extension of bail, viz., 'repair of his house' is not convincing. Hence the application is rejected.
