Petitioner has retired from services on 31st March, 2017, but his G.P.F. amount has not been paid. While entertaining the writ petition following orders were passed on 25.8.2021:-
"Grievance is that though petitioner has retired from service on 31.3.2017 but the amount of GPF has not been paid to him so far.
Learned Standing Counsel may obtained instructions in the matter. Post as fresh, once again, on 9.9.2021."
Sri R.K. Rai, learned counsel for the respondents has obtained instructions, according to which, the amount of G.P.F. together with interest has been sanctioned on 6.9.2021 and records have been remitted to respondent no. 5, who is the authority for disbursing the amount.
Learned Standing Counsel has also obtained instructions, according to which, permission has already been granted for releasing the amount on 14th September, 2021 and that such amount shall be credited to the Account of the petitioner within four weeks.
In view of the stand so taken by the respondents, this writ petition stands disposed of requiring them to act as per their undertaking and to ensure release of entire withheld amount of G.P.F. together with interest to the petitioner within four weeks from today.
