Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the records of the respondent herein in D.O.No.35/2017 dated 29.04.2017 and quash the same produce the detenu Mohan @ Manal Mohan, aged 37 years, S/o.Natarajan, TPDA.No.7201 now confined at Central Prison, Vellore, Vellore District, before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.K.G.Senthil Kumar For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in D.O.No.35/2017 dated 29.04.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenue by name, Mohan @ Manal Mohan, aged 37 years, S/o.Natarajan and quash the same.
2. It is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.148 dated 07.06.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has been revoked.
3. Considering the above said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
