ORDER Learned High Court Government Pleader accepts notice for respondent Nos.1 and 2.
2. Though this writ petition is listed for preliminary hearing, with the consent of learned counsel for the respective parties, it is heard finally.
3. The petitioner has sought a direction to respondent No.1 – Regional Transport Authority to consider her initial application dated 27.01.2005 and subsequent application dated 24.10.2017 seeking modification of permit (Annexure-D and E) respectively.
4. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned HCGP for the respondents and perused the material on record.
5. It is noted that the initial application of the petitioner was filed in the year 2005 and subsequently, she has sought for fresh permit. The grievance of the petitioner is that her applications have not yet been considered.
6. Learned HCGP submits that if direction is issued by this Court, applications will be considered in accordance with law.
7. In the circumstances, respondent No.1 – Regional Transport Authority is directed to consider the applications of the petitioner dated 27.01.2005 and subsequent application dated 24.10.2017 (Annexures-D and E respectively) in accordance with law and in an expeditious manner, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
With the aforesaid observation and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
Learned HCGP to file his memo of appearance within three weeks from today.
