Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Pleader for Home appearing for the respondents.
The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents 3 to 5 were repeatedly calling him to the police station and harassing him, though no case was registered against him, but on the pretext of making inquiries in connection with complaint allegedly given by the mother of maid servant who had earlier worked with the petitioner. Hence the present writ petition is filed.
Learned Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, submits that the petitioner was never called to the police station as alleged and in fact there is no criminal case registered against him. He further submits that a case was registered by Police, Maripeda on the complaint lodged by the mother of maid servant who earlier worked with the petitioner and inquiries were being made, but no action as alleged by the petitioner was taken by the police at any point of time. It is also stated that the petitioner appears to have approached this Court merely on apprehension and in anticipation of action to be taken by the police against him.
It is thus evident from the above that no case was registered against the petitioner and the respondents also denied any harassment to the petitioner. In view of that, no further orders are necessary to be passed in this writ petition which is accordingly disposed of. Miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
