JUDGMENT / ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to issue a non-traceable certificate based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 18.9.2015. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was issued with a passport bearing No.H0273021 on 1.9.2008 and the same expires on 31.8.2018. While so, on 25.8.2015, when he went to Canara Bank, Neelapur, he kept his passport in his motor bike parked outside Canara Bank and when he returned, he found that his passport kept in the motor bike, was missing. Hence, he made a complaint to the respondent police on 18.9.2015 to trace it or to give a non-traceable certificate. But, till date, no action was taken on the said complaint. Hence, the petition.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has also obtained acknowledgement from the respondent police for the complaint lodged by him. But, no action was taken so far by the respondent police for the issuance of non-traceable certificate.
4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that if the petitioner files a fresh complaint along with required documents, the same will be considered forthwith.
5. The said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is hereby recorded. The petitioner is directed to submit a fresh complaint along with all the required documents before the jurisdictional police authorities within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on filing such complaint, necessary certificate be issued by the jurisdictional police authorities within a period of two weeks thereafter. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
