1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri Sanjay Kumar Singh, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the respondents.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that they applied for grant of firearm licence vide application/representation dated 14.07.2020 but the said application has not yet been decided by the respondent no. 2.
3. Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel submits that vide G.O. dated 09.05.2014 and amended G.O. dated 15.7.2016 for grant of firearm license, the prescribed proforma/procedure has been provided to be filled up/followed by the applicant and as such, petitioners shall approach the authorities by moving an application in the prescribed proforma, which will be considered and decided expeditiously.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction that in case petitioners approach the authority concerned by way of filing fresh application in the way and manner as has been provided in the G.O. dated 09.05.2014 and amended G.O. dated 15.07.2016 within ten days from today, the competent authority would consider and decide petitioners' application by a speaking order within a period of four months from the date of production of a copy of this order before him.

The party shall file computer generated copy of such order downloaded from the official website of High Court Allahabad, self attested by the petitioners alongwith a self attested identity proof of the said persons (preferably Aadhar Card) mentioning the mobile number to which the said Aadhar Card is linked.
6. The concerned Authority/Official shall verify the authenticity of such computerised copy of the order from the official website of High Court Allahabad and shall make a declaration of such verification in writing.
