The present contempt petition has been filed for alleged violation/willful disobedience of the judgement and order dated 1.8.2016 passed by the Writ Court in Writ Petition No.17685 (SS) of 2016. The petitioner's writ petition was finally disposed of in following terms:-
"Looking into the nature of issue involved in this petition, the petition is disposed of finally with liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondent no.3-D.I.G. Lucknow Region, Lucknow for ventilation of his grievance by making a representation taking all the pleas which may be available to him and annexing all the documents on which he intends to rely within fortnight from today. If such a representation is made by the petitioner, the same shall be considered and decided by the respondent no.3 in accordance with law by passing a reasoned and speaking order within next two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with representation, as aforesaid. The decision so taken by the respondent no.3 shall be communicated to the petitioner."
In pursuance to the notice issued in this contempt petition, a compliance affidavit of Mr. S.K. Bhagat, Inspector General of Police, Lucknow Range, Lucknow has been tendered today in the Court by Sri Amerendra Singh, learned Standing Counsel, which is taken on record. Along with the aforesaid affidavit, a copy of the decision dated 25.8.2019 has been placed on record as Annexure No.A-1, whereby the petitioner's claim for reimbursement has been rejected.
In view of the aforesaid decision dated 25.8.2019 taken on the representation of the petitioner, nothing survives in the present contempt petition, which is hereby dismissed as having become infructuous.
Contempt notice stands discharged.
