Pursuant to the order dated 22.07.2019, Sri Sant Ram Sharma, learned counsel representing resondent nos. 3 & 4, has placed the instructions received from the Chairman, Nagar Panchayat, Kurara, Hamirpur. The charge-sheet dated 23.07.2019 has also been placed before us. A copy of the charge-sheet has been provided to Sri Shiv Sagar Singh, learned counsel for the appellant in Court today.
Learned counsel for the appellant sought to argue that the charges, as levelled in the charge-sheet, even found to be proved, would not entail a major punishment, as such, the suspension of the appellant is bad in law.
We have cursorily gone through the charge-sheet and found that the number of charges of indiscipline, financial irregularities and disobedience have been levelled and as such, we are not inclined to accept the submission made by the counsel for the appellant.
Learned Single Judge, while disposing the writ petition, has already issued directions that the enquiry, contemplated against the appellant-petitioner, may be concluded preferably within a period of 3 months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
We feel that the time allowed by the learned Single Judge is a reasonable time and accordingly, we are not inclined to interfere with the order of the learned Single Judge.
Appeal lacks merit and is, accordingly, dismissed.
