Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State.
This public interest litigation has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayer to :-
I. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of public interest litigation directing the respondent nos. 1 and 2 to refer the said matter for enquiry/investigation of misappropriation/embezzlement of amount of Rs. 2,50,00,000/- either by Central Bureau of Investigation or by any Special Investigation Team.
II. award cost of the petition to be paid in favour of the petitioner.
From the perusal of the averments made in the writ petition, it transpires that the petitioner is seeking relief from this Court for instituting an enquiry into the alleged financial irregularities committed by respondent no. 5.
After having heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material brought on record, we do not find it a fit case for interference.
Accordingly, this Public Interest Litigation (P. I. L.) is dismissed.
