Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel.
By the instant writ petition, petitioner is assailing the order dated 20.1.2018 passed by fourth respondent i.e. Jail Superintendent, Firozabad whereby petitioner has been transferred from Firozabad Jail to Mau Jail.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to government order dated 3rd May, 2017, petitioner cannot be transferred at the fag end of his career. It is contended that petitioner is to retire on attaining the age of superannuation in August 2018.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that the representation of the petitioner can appropriately be considered by the second respondent.
In regard thereto, without entering into the merit of the case as well as rival contentions raised by the respective parties, it is provided that the second respondent i.e. Inspector General of Police, Jail Administration and Reform Services, U. P., Lucknow to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner by passing a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law, preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of filing of a certified copy of this order and a copy of the writ petition along with the annexures.
With the aforementioned observations/direction, the writ petition is finally disposed of.
