JUDGMENT / ORDER

Ashok Bhushan, Ag.CJ
Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned State Attorney. No notice is being issued to respondents 3 to 5 in view of the judgment being passed today.
2. Petitioners, alleging police harassment, have come up in this writ petition seeking a direction to the 1st respondent not to harass the petitioners and for a further direction to the 2nd respondent to enquire into the harassment being caused to the petitioners.
3. Learned State Attorney, after obtaining instructions, has submitted that a complaint was received from the 4th respondent against the 1st petitioner on which he was called at the police station. But, instead of appearing before the police station, he has approached this Court filing this writ petition. It is further submitted that the dispute between the parties is pending in the Munsiff Court being O.S.No.34/2014 has no concern with the complaint which has been filed by the 4th respondent.
4. In the facts and circumstances of the case, especially when the petitioners were called at the police station on the basis of a complaint filed by the 4th respondent, we do not see any case of police harassment. It is open for the petitioners to appear before the police station and make their statement.
With these observations, this writ petition is closed.
