N.Anuradha vs The Chairman

Madras High Court|21 November, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to forbear the respondents from calling for any fresh candidates for the post of Lecturer in Physical Education in the Directorate of Teacher Education, Research and Training and in the District Institutes of Education and Training 2008-2009, without appointing the writ petitioner.
2. However, now after a lapse of seven years from the date of filing of the writ petition, the relief, as such, sought for, cannot be granted in view of the fact that the writ petitioner filed this writ petition to forbear the respondents from calling for any fresh candidates for the post of Lecturer in Physical Education in the Directorate of Teacher Education, Research and Training and in the District Institutes of Education and Training 2008-2009 and the process would have been completed and if at all any grievance exists to the writ petitioner, it is left open to her to pursue the matter in the manner known to law.
3. With this observation, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
