JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers:
“ To direct the 1st respondent to permit the petitioner to revise the returns for October, 2013, November 2013, February 2014 and annual return for 2013-14 as prayed for in Ext.P1 by the issue of a writ of mandamus or such other writ or order or direction.”
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, in the course of audit of the books of accounts for assessment year 2013-2014, some mistakes were found out as crept in the concerned returns for October, 2013, November, 2013, February, 2014 and also in respect of annual return in respect of 2013- 2014. This made the petitioner to approach the first respondent by filing Ext.P1 application for revising the returns, which is still to be acted upon and hence the writ petition.
3. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well.
4. Considering the limited nature of relief sought for, it is not necessary to go into the merits of the case. The writ petition W.P.C. No.26596 of 2014 -2-
is disposed of, directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P1 after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner at the earliest, at any rate, within 'one month' from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the 1st respondent for further steps.
P.R. RAMACHANDRA MENON, JUDGE.
