Grievance of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that admittedly when he had encroached upon the Gaon Sabha land and had prayed for exchange with his own land which he had in his possession then proceedings should have been brought to their logical end. The local authorities should also not harass the petitioner and insist that he should vacate the land in question during the pendency of the exchange proceedings.
Under such circumstances it is, therefore, directed that the application for the exchange of the petitioner's land numbered as 1734/0.69 Hectare with the Gaon Sabha land numbered as 2327/0.49 Hectare, be decided within a period of one month.
Till the application is decided or for a period of one month whichever is earlier, status quo as of today shall be maintained.
Writ petition is disposed of.
