This writ petition is filed for a mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not receiving and processing the application submitted by the petitioner for new electrical service connection in the land admeasuring Ac.0.79 cents in R.S.No.177/A, situated at Kanuru village, Penamaluru Mandal, Krishna District as illegal and arbitrary and for a consequential direction to the respondents to receive and process the application for the subject land.

The case of the petitioner is that he is absolute owner and possessor of agricultural land admeasuring Ac.0.79 cents in R.S.No.177/A of Kanuru village, Penamaluru Mandal, Krishna District having acquired the same from his ancestors. It is stated that civil litigations filed by third parties against him in respect of the subject land ended in dismissal. It is also stated that the petitioner submitted an application to the 3rd respondent for granting new electrical service connection in respect of the subject land, but the 3rd respondent refused to receive the application form and to process the same. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition is filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the respondents.
4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and since it is stated that the petitioner is absolute owner and possessor of the subject land, I deem it appropriate to direct the 3rd respondent to receive the application of the petitioner for granting new electrical service connection in respect of subject land and consider the same and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with the Regulations and take necessary action as per law.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
