At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he does not wish to press this petition as the petitioner wishes to pursue its remedy under Section 56 of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 before the competent authority.

This petition is, accordingly, dismissed.

It is being made clear that if an appeal under Section 56(1-A) of the Act is filed within fifteen days from today, the same shall be considered on merit.
