JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers :
(i) Issue a writ of certiorari, quashing Ext. P2 demand notice issued against the petitioner.
(ii) Issue a writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd and 3rd respondent to keep Ext. P2 proceedings in abeyance, till appeals against the common award in OP (MV) Nos. 306 & 314 of 2011 on the file of the Hon'ble Motor Accident's Claims Tribunal, Palai are entertained by this Hon'ble High Court.
(iii) Issue any other order, directing etc which deems fit, in the facts and circumstances of the above case.
2. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well.
3. Going by the law that has been declared by the Apex at different points of time, the remedy of the petitioner is either to file an appeal under Section 173 of the Motor Vehicles Act or to approach the Tribunal for appropriate relief.
W.P.(C) No. 30074 of 2014 : 2 :
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that steps have already been taken to obtain certified copy of the judgment and seeks for two weeks time to pursue such appropriate remedy.
In the said circumstances, interference is declined and the writ petition is dismissed; however granting two weeks time to enable the petitioner to pursue other appropriate remedy. Coercive proceedings shall be put on hold for two weeks.
