JUDGMENT / ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.] The petitioner filed this Writ Petition to direct the third respondent to grant permission for installation of two new statues of Freedom Fighters, namely, Periya Maruthu Statue and Chinna Maruthu Statue, after replacing the old statues of those two leaders.
2. The petitioner has already given a representation to the District Collector, Sivagangai, on 16.08.2017. The representation is still pending on the file of the District Collector.
3. We direct the third respondent to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 16.08.2017 on merits and as per law. The District Collector shall take note of the order passed by this Court in T.Amirthalingam Vs.State, [2010 (2) MLJ 1022], while considering the representation submitted by the petitioner. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. The Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above direction. No costs.
