(Civil Misc. Exemption Application No. 1 of 2021) For the reasons stated in the application, filing of the certified copy of the order dated July 08, 2020 passed by the learned Single Judge is exempted.

(Civil Misc. Delay Condonation Application No. Nil of 2021) For the reasons stated in the application, the delay of 30 days in filing the appeal is condoned.

ON APPEAL The only ground, on which the order dated July 08, 2021 passed by the learned Single Judge has been challenged, is that the order for payment of interest @ 8%, on account of delay in release of revised pension to the respondent, is on higher side.
The argument, sought to be raised, is that the interest should be awarded at the current rate, which is about 6%.
We do not find any ground to entertain the present appeal merely on that ground for the reason that even if the current interest rate, as is sought to be argued, is taken at 6%, the interest on the amount of revised pension in view of delay will not be much that substantial difference will be made in the amount of interest.
The appeal is, accordingly, dismissed.
