The instant petition has been filed for a direction upon the court concerned to decide Suit No.541 of 1987, which has been assigned New No.2688 of 2017, within a stipulated period.
It is quite surprising that a suit of the year 1987 is still pending.
Under the circumstances, this petition is disposed off by observing that in case there is no legal impediment in proceeding further with the suit, the court concerned shall proceed with the suit on priority basis and shall bring the suit proceedings to its logical conclusion, without entertaining unnecessary adjournments from the parties.
