(The order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU,J. ) The petitioner is the mother of one Pandiselvi @ Ramya. Her date of birth is 21.02.1999. According to the petitioner, Pondiselvi has been missing from the month of January. In this regard, on a complaint made by her, a case was registered in Crime No.44 of 2017, on the file of the first respondent. Since the girl has not been so far secured, the petitioner has come up with this habeas corpus petition.
2. Today when the habeas corpus petition was taken up for hearing, the detenue was produced. According to her, on her own accord, she went out of her parental home and married the fourth respondent on 20.02.2017. The fourth respondent also has asserted the same. The detenue, being a major, now wants to go with the fourth respondent. Since the detenue is a major, we are of the view that she is at liberty to choose her own way of life. Accordingly, this habeas corpus petition is dismissed.
