JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers:
“(i) Issue a Writ of mandamus or other appropriate order or direction commanding the respondents to shift the electric line from the property of the petitioner to the alternate route forthwith.
(ii) Direct the first respondent to consider Exhibit P3 and take a decision in the matter of shifting electric line passing through the property of the petitioner, within a time frame.
(iii) Grant such other reliefs as this Honourable Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.”
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the electric line now drawn through the property of the petitioner has been sought to be shifted through the alternate route and the petitioner has filed an application before the 3rd respondent. However, the same has not acted upon for the reason that, as per Ext.P3, the matter now stands forwarded to the first respondent for appropriate decision. It is stated that, the line has been drawn through the property of the petitioner for providing electric connection to the 5th respondent.
W.P.(C) No.30098 of 2014 2
3. Heard the learned Standing Counsel as well as the learned Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 4.
4. Considering the limited extent of relief proposed to be given, this Court does not find it necessary to issue notice to the 5th respondent.
The writ petition is disposed of, directing the 1st respondent to cause the matter to be finalised, pursuant to Ext.P3, passing appropriate orders in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, authorities of the Board and also to the 5th respondent, at the earliest, at any rate, within 'six weeks' from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
Petitioner shall produce a copy of this judgment, along with a copy of the writ petition, before the 1st respondent, for further steps.
The writ petition is disposed of.
