The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents to place the petitioner as No.1 in the panel for promotion to the post of Headmaster of Middle School as per the order of the 1st respondent in his proceedings Na.Ka.No.5939/ED.1/2001 dated 15.11.2001 and Na.Ka.No.43905/02/D3 dated 05.06.2003 of the 3rd respondent and give promotion to the petitioner as Headmaster of Middle School.
2. I heard Mr.P.Ganesan for S.Mani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. It is reported by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner's name is found in the place of Serial No.1 in the panel for promotion to the post of Headmaster in the year 2004. In the meantime, the petitioner was retired from service. Hence, the relief sought for in the writ petition has become infructuous.
4. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
