JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to file a final report within the time frame fixed by this Court in Cr.No.168 of 2016 registered by the second respondent.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that FIR was filed in the year 2016 and the petitioner approached the second respondent for various dates to expedite the investigation but till now no action has been taken. Stating so, the learned counsel for the petitioner prayed for a direction to the second respondent police to file final report within a stipulated time.
3. Mr.M. Mohamed Riyaz, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), taking notice for the respondents, submitted that an enquiry need to be conducted for which co-operation of the petitioner is required.
4. Since the First Information Report has been filed in the year 2016, the petitioner is directed to co-operate with the respondent police and on such cooperation, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in Cr.No.168 of 2016 pending on his file, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
