The prayer in this writ petition is that a declaration be made that the acquisition proceedings have lapsed under Section 24(2) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Re- settlement Act, 2013.
The Court has been informed that the Apex Court by order dated 21.02.2018 passed in Special Leave to Appeal (C) No.8453 of 2017 (State of Haryana And Ors. Vs. M/S G.D. Goenka Tourism Corporation Limited And Anr.) has stayed proceeding of all matters relating to the interpretation of or concerning Section 24(2) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Re- settlement Act, 2013, pending adjudication of the matter by larger Bench.
In view of the above, we adjourn the hearing of the matter sine die. The parties are at liberty to move appropriate application after disposal of the matter by the Apex Court or in case any clarificatory order is passed by the Apex Court.
