For Petitioner : Mr.S.Kamaraj For respondent : Mr.C.Emalias, Addl. Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.1015 of 2013 before the learned X Metropolitan Magistrate, at Egmore.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that due to the civil dispute between the petitioner and the de facto complainant, the de facto complainant lodged a frivolous complaint on 12.7.2013 as against the petitioner and six others before the respondent police and based on the said complaint, a case was registered in Crime No.1015 of 2013 under Sections 323, 324, 147 and 148 I.P.C. Though the said complaint was registered in the year 2013, till date, final report was not filed and the respondent police has not taken any steps to proceed with the case. Hence, the present petition.
3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.1015 of 2013 pending on his file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
