THESE PETITIONS COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING IN ‘B’ GROUP, THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:-
O R D E R The petitioners are aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents in not considering the application/representation dated 31.10.2018 at Annexure – C submitted by the petitioners to provide permanent electricity supply to the property bearing Municipal No.9 (Old No.852) measuring east to west (51+53)/2 feet, north to south 30 feet, with building standing thereon, situated at 9th Main Road, Sringar, Banashankari 1st Stage, Bengaluru.
2. It is the contention of the petitioners that an application has been submitted on 31.10.2018 by the petitioners seeking new electricity connection. Despite several requests made, the same has not been considered, which has caused irreparable hardship, injury and loss to the occupants of the said building in question.
3. Considering the totality of circumstances of the case, this Court is of the considered opinion that there is no impediment for respondent Nos.2 and 3 to consider the petitioners’ application at Annexure – G in accordance with law and take a decision.
4. Hence, respondent Nos.2 and 3 are directed to consider the application of the petitioners dated 31.10.2018 at Annexure – G and take a decision in accordance with law in an expedite manner, in any event, not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of the order.
With the aforesaid observations and directions, these writ petitions stand disposed of.
