JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.R.Sivakumar, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 16.11.2016 and to issue allotment order in respect of house bearing Door No.586, Power Duppam, Royapuram, Chennai 600 013, in the name of his Son C.Kapildev, as he is residing there along with his family, within a time frame.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 16.11.2016 for the allotment of house in the name of his son, has not been considered by the 4th respondent.
4. Mr.R.Sivakumar, learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner was already allotted with a house by the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board and that, now, he is seeking for allotment of another house in the name of his son, which cannot be done. However, the learned counsel submitted that the 4th respondent may pass suitable orders in this regard within a period of four weeks'.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's application and pass orders, taking into consideration the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
