Public Prosecutor For R2 : Mr.K.S.Karthik Raja ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed to call for the records relating to FIR in Crime No.3 of 2016 dated 13.04.2016 pending on the file of the first respondent and quash the same.
2. Today, the petitioner and the second respondent/ defacto complainant along with their respective learned counsel on record are present. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent is also present. The identities of the parties have been verified. They have submitted that the dispute between them has been amicably settled. When this Court enquired the parties, particularly, second respondent / defacto complainant, about the factum of compromise and the terms of the compromise, she admitted the same. Though the first respondent, Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Chengam, Thiruvannamalai District, who is present before this Court, has raised objection, the second respondent / defacto complainant has expressed no objection in quashing the FIR in Crime No.3/2016 registered against the petitioner herein. She has also filed an affidavit dated 22.03.2017 duly signed by her, to that effect.
3. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the FIR in Crime No.3 of 2016 pending on the file of the first respondent is quashed. The affidavit dated 22.03.2017 filed by the second respondent is taken on record.
