Learned advocate Mr. Rakesh Sharma states that an amount of Rs.15,000/- by way of banker s cheque is paid to the respondent no.2 wife, by handing over the cheque to respondent no.2, who is present in the court. The total amount of arrears of maintenance is more than Rs.1,37,000/-, towards which the aforesaid amount is paid. As per the statement made and recorded in the order dated 16.10.2012, the applicant is required to clear the payment of arrears of maintenance awarded under section 125 of Cr.P.C., as per the impugned order. The matter may be posted on 09.01.2013 to enable the applicant to pay further amount towards the arrears.
