The petitioner herein seeks a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 4 to conduct fair, impartial, and effective investigation in Crime No.195/2014 of Santhanpara Police Station. Now, it is submitted by the learned Public Prosecutor that investigation in the said crime is already over, and that the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Munnar has submitted final report in court, that the complaint is false. In such a situation, this proceeding need not continue. The petitioner can seek appropriate relief possible under the law as regards the final report submitted by the police. In the result, this Writ Petition is closed, without prejudice to the right of the petitioner to seek appropriate relief possible under the law as regards the final report.
