For Petitioners : Mr.M.Kempraj For R1 : Mr.C.Emalias, APP ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to file a final report in FIR No.1030 of 2016 dated 10.06.2016 pending on his file, within a specific time frame as fixed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioners that the second respondent herein has lodged a complaint with the first respondent police against her husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law, who are the petitioners herein. The said complaint was registered as FIR No.1030 of 2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b) and 323 IPC on 10.06.2016. However, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to conduct the investigation and file a final report in FIR No.1030 of 2016 pending on his file, if not already filed, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
