This Writ petition is filed for issuing a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 & 2 to give police protection to the petitioner village people to celebrate temple festivals including ?Puravi Eduppu? of Arulmigu Sri Kaveri Ayyanar Temple (Survey No.21/11A, Patta No.20), Sri Pandivinayagar Temple, and Alagunachiyamman Temple situated at V.Karisalkulam Village,Thirichuli Taluk, Virudhunagar District from 18.09.2017 to 30.09.2017.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. It is brought to the notice of this Court that this Court has already given permission in the writ petition filed by one R.Alagesan in W.P.(MD)No.16670 of 2017. In such circumstances, the petitioner himself has now conceded and requested this Court that the petitioner may also be given permission to participate in the temple festival to be held on 18.09.2017 to 26.09.2017.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner in W.P.(MD).No.16670 of 2017 has no objection to permit the petitioner and his family members and his pangalis to participate in the festival function to be held on 18.09.2017 to 26.09.2017.In such circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with an observation that the petitioners are entitled to participate in the festival function. No costs.
