This application is preferred by the applicant convict for grant of parole of 30 days on the ground of fulfilling the religious obligations in connection with the death of his mother and son.

The application is rejected by the competent authority on the ground that on earlier occasions, the applicant had not surrendered in time and had remained absconding for a total number of 4694 days and was later apprehended by the police.

Considering the above aspect, and since no convincing ground appears for exercise of powers, this application is rejected.
