Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Diwakar Singh for the Gaon Sabha, respondent no. 3.
The writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:-
"(i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the Sub-Divisional Officer, Handia, Allahabad/respondent no. 2 to expedite/decide the Case number being Computerized Case No. T201902030404503 of 2017 (Munni Lal and others Vs. Gaon Sabha and another) under section 144 Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code, 2006 within stipulated time."
The petitioner is aggrieved as his declaratory suit is still pending consideration having been filed on 28.03.2017.
Perusal of the order sheet reveals that till date, notices have not been issued to the defendants in the suit.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2/Sub-Divisional Officer, Handia, District Allahabad to decide the suit as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 24 months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
